Dot

The ``dot'' $\cdot$ has several meanings in mathematics, including Multiplication ($a\cdot b$ is pronounced ``$a$ times $b$''), computation of a Dot Product ( ${\bf a}\cdot{\bf b}$ is pronounced ``a dot b''), or computation of a time Derivative ($\dot a$ is pronounced ``$a$ dot'').
